About Education Through Media

Education Through Media (ETM)’s is a youth-led organization on a mission to engage and empower youth.

Young people in our programs learn to picture themselves thriving in creative and technically challenging fields in science and technology. Youth in our programs get hands-on with cutting-edge tools. We support youth to grow and develop in fields defined by curiosity, innovation and change. Our programs build teamwork and self-esteem, offering youth a sense of boundless opportunities–bolstered by practical skills.

Our vision is of a future where no youth is excluded from innovative, dynamic fields of work and play, and where any young person can see themselves represented in science and technology. Regardless of where they grow up, who their parents are, their gender, colour, wealth or any other factor, we want youth to dream big. We provide at-risk youth with the tools and skills they’ll need to make their dreams a reality.
